  One of the best satisfying Telugu movie I’ve ever watched. A terrifically written and executed realistic life drama, portraying four love stories of four different stages of life, while handling themes of life unpredictability, love, gender, caste, religion and relationships in a matured manner. It takes its own sweet time to setup its world of characters, but each one get established in a pure, rooted and powerful way, with every emotion striking the right chord. The subplots get engagingly narrated too with good blend of heartfelt humor and deeply moving emotions. Each dot gets connected effectively, making one feel the tragic pain and completely takes you by surprise with a brilliant climax, leaving one awestruck and with a smile. A fantastic debut from Venkatesh Maha, delivering an immersive masterpiece.

  My favourite Indian film of the year hands down. My favourite ending of the year. Period. The film juggles so much topics in it's screenplay and yet by the end I was floored comprehensively. I cried,blushed,got angry, laughed hysterically and much more. A must must must watch film on all counts. A modern classic is born.

  Rewatching this after quite some time that too with my mom is one of the best experience.

  Telugu is my mother tongue. For generations though, my family has been in Maharashtra, as a result we are completely blended with the Marathi traditions. Possibly the only thing that keeps me connected to my roots is the language. Now being born and brought up in Maharashtra with majority of friends speaking Marathi and Hindi(and other regional languages), I could never fully explore the nuances of Telugu(I hardly know any "bad words") and the fact that my parents and other elders conversed in Marathi, didnt help much. My cousins and I hence speak a grammatically incorrect and diluted Telugu blended with Marathi and Hindi words.

  When is the last time that in a Telugu cinema that actually has the heart and soul to it? A film that is purely rooted to its simplistic elements yet it has a lot of heart to it that I really can't help but to have different emotions while watching it.

  Care of Kancharapalem is an absolute gem from an industry which mostly makes ott masala films. It is a very different story about love in the small town of kancaharapalem with characters who you come across daily in real life ( all actors in the film have nill acting background). It's very authentic in it's portrayal of all the characters and situations that these characters find themselves in.   A quadrant of romances where the innocence of love is at qualms with societal issues pertaining to class, faith and just generally the usually unconquerable mountain of social stratification. I can’t remember the last time I was so enamoured by a group of characters as much I was with these charming residents of Kancharapalem.

  From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows; I felt my emotions simultaneously feel at ease and suffer at multiple junctions in this jagged road of love and pain.
