Congratulations to the Habeck family on being selected as this year's Buska Gives Back/Gradient Gives Back program recipient! Patrick and Kimberly Habeck experienced every parent’s nightmare in June of 2023, when their 4-year-old daughter was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The Habeck’s have been married for over 10 years and have four beautiful children together. Their lives have been turned upside down as they learn to navigate childhood cancer, chemo treatments, and doctor appointments. Patrick has had to take an extended leave of absence from work to be home with little Josephine, as she is too immunocompromised to attend kindergarten with her twin brother, Elliot. Kimberly has been a teacher for the last 15 years and helps homeschool Josephine. We couldn't be more honored to help the Habecks along in their journey, and wish them the best of luck!
